Faculty Testimonials

We're proud of our faculty and their achievements. Here is what some faculty members have to say about their experiences learning with the Center for Teaching, Learning, & Scholarship (CTLS).

Dr. Keisuke Ikehata

Assistant Professor, Ingram School of Engineering

"[CTLS]'s programming really helped me set up myself at Texas State. What I like the most is that each of these activities provide participating faculty a safe space for us to share our challenges, as well as our joys. It is a truly caring community. In particular, I am so thankful for the Write Watchers & Let’s Do Lunch sessions with my peers, which were really my lifelines in 2020. I was so encouraged & energized!"

Dr. Beth Ann Bernstein

Associate Professor of Instruction, Dept. of World Languages & Literatures

"I'm grateful for the [CTLS] programs during the pandemic and I love participating every week. The "Write Watchers" group has been so motivational and the guidance/support has been wonderful. It gives me the push I need to continue my academic writing projects during a challenging time. Even though we cannot get together in person, these awesome programs connect us and create a close-knit Texas State community."
