Congratulations on completing the requirements of the Scholarship and Teaching Excellence Program (STEP) at Texas State. To support our scholarship, you are eligible for the $600 funding, to be spent between July 1, 2026 and August 31, 2027.
STEP funds are awarded solely for scholarly activity that will contribute to your career growth at Texas State. Common uses of the funds are for conference registration and travel, equipment or books, or other expenses related to your scholarship or creative activities. We will transfer the funds directly to your department by the end of April 2026.
Please complete the funding request between now and April 30th, 2026. Once received, we will review your request and send you and your department/school admin confirmation and more information on how to spend the funds.
We hope that STEP provided you with knowledge and skills that will enable you to continue to grow in your teaching and scholarship. We trust that the program gave you opportunities to collaborate with other faculty members and offices across campus, and we hope that those collaborations and friendships continue and deepen during your career here. Please keep us updated on your milestones.
